I SEE THERE IS A PARKING TENDER, for Hand-Held Metres, out for your TOWN to be submitted before 22nd March so your opinion is urgently required.
Despite being the inventor of Hand-Held Parking Meters, I am not sure that parking enforcement is what is required in this town as suggested for the Central Business District by this municipality.
However it is in my opinion, that the choice for this OR not is that of both business and the public to decide if it is required and wanted.
My reason for this question is: With the deterioration of the CBD, and people using the Mall more, this will cause even less people doing businesses in Town. So paid parking will possibly be bad for the businesses in the CBD. The other hard fact that Good people pay for their parking, for the benefits they know in crime reduction, but the Other people do not pay for their parking. So these Other non payers enjoy the free benefits that the good people pay for. This is not fair to the good people that support the Str👁🗨👁🗨tEyes© concept . This municipality has never in all these years done the statutory obligation of enforcement of parking by-laws against the Other non paying people as they should have. This is again not fair to the Good people that obey the law.
A free non paid parking system MAY be a much-Much Better alternative.
Str👁🗨👁🗨tEyes©Services/Dienste has designed a system so that crime reduction and prevention as well as solve the biggest problem for businesses. Namely All Day Parkers that in effect steal the available parking. Because businesses need customers and customers need parking.

Die ander voldonge feit dat Goeie mense betaal vir hul parkering, vir die voordele wat hulle ken in misdaadvermindering, maar die Ander mense betaal nie vir hul parkering nie. Hierdie Ander nie-betalers geniet dus die gratis voordele waarvoor die goeie mense betaal. Dit is nie regverdig teenoor die baie mense wat wel die Str👁🗨👁🗨tEyes©-konsep ondersteun nie. Hierdie munisipaliteit het nog nooit in al die jare die statutêre verpligting van afdwinging van parkeerverordeninge teen die Ander nie-betalende mense gedoen soos hulle moes nie. Dit is weereens nie regverdig teenoor die Goeie mense wat die wets gehoorsaam is nie.
